Just what a B&B should be!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the "Mary Elizabeth" room for two nights during peak fall leaf season in Allegany St. Park! I would recommend Gallet's House because it was everything a B&B should be, at a very reasonable price. Joan was a lovely host who handled the booking, the payment and cooked delicious breakfasts for us, with care to provide gluten free options for my husband. The room was cozy, classy, very clean and extremely comfortable, decked out with Roku TV, jacuzzi tub, modern shower, king size bed with comfy bedding. Joan was able to recommend nearby restaurants, which were both excellent, and she delighted in telling us about the family history of the old home, how they completely renovated it in 1998, and how her children and grandchildren have all helped. I would recommend it to anyone looking to avoid the casino or any other chain hotel for a more homey place to stay when visiting the Southern Tier of NY.

the owner is a nutjob stood outside of my room listening to me and my wife there were cockroaches in my room one of my pillow she would not refund us or money when I said there was cockroaches don't stay

Close to Alleghaney State Park. Our room was great and able to control the temperature by windows or AC . Loved sitting out on the huge porch at night. Would be a great place to go in the fall to watch the leaves!
